Free in-home estimate:

There's absolutely no obligation to purchase. We will set up an appointment with customers to get all measurements of your kitchen in order to start a design; listen to your needs; then, we will tell you what the potential possibilities are and what we can do to improve your kitchen and bathroom.
We would like to get you a quote as soon as possible, however, a quote can only be quoted based on floor plan (to be designed) and your selection on cabinetry, so in most cases, we just can't recklessly give you a number when we on the first trip to your home.
After the "estimate" trip to your home, we will start working on the design of your floor plan right away and should be able to come up with a design for you in around 2-3 days. Then, we will e-mail (or fax, whichever convenient for you) you the 3-D views of our design, quotes with itemized numbers, and detail information.

How to get an estimate?

Option #1:
we always offer free in-home estimate and consultation, however, we encourage you to visit our showroom before setting up the in-home estimate. By visiting us, you can find out what we have offer and pick out both cabinet and granite you like, so we can quote accordingly. If for any reason you are not ready or too busy to come to our showroom, but still prefer to get an in-home estimate first, please do not hesitate to give us a call to set up a time, we normally can send a professional design to you within 2 - 5 days.
Option #2:
if you already have a design or quote from any other kitchen remodel businesses, you can always have the blue print of floor plan faxed to us along with a simple explanation of what kind of cabinet you would like to have, then we can review the design to see if we can get you a better one, in addition, we can get you a quote based on the floor plan and comparable cabinet.
Option #3:
if we're the first company you're considering getting a bit from and you're not ready to have anyone to come to your home yet, you can just fax us a drawing of the layouts of your kitchen with measurements for wall, window, existing cabinets and the height of ceiling, along with the ocations of sink and appliances like refrigerator, dishwasher, range, cook top, oven, microwave, hood and more. If all this sounds like too complicated to you, you can just simply give us a call for a free in home estimate. We will be very happy to help you with your needs.

providing the ultimate Kitchen.

1.  Getting Started

People come to the decision to remodel in many ways:
  • We've lived with this kitchen (bathroom) for years and now that the kids are gone, we want to bring it up to date.
  • Only one burner still works on the stove and as long as we are replacing it, we should look at the whole kitchen.
  • We bought the house for the location, but the inside needs help.
  • We no longer need as many bedrooms as we once did and want to reward ourselves with a luxury master suite.
  • The house is too small and we want to add some space to the house, especially the kitchen and bathrooms.

Remodeling allows you customize your living spaces to really fit your needs, while at the same time being able to stay in the neighborhood you have chosen. You usually can keep the basic structure intact, while at the same time improving the function and traffic flows of the home.

The first step you should take in the design process is to create a folder or notebook to accumulate ideas which appeal to you. Clip pictures, articles, etc. you like (even if you are not sure what it is you like about them). Over a period of time, this will help a designer to determine your tastes and preferences.

The next step in the process is to choose a design firm with which to work. Master Cabinet & Stone has a large showroom and warehouse which allow you to look at samples of cabinets and countertops, talk to our designers and get a feel for the firm itself.

2.  Conceptual Design Phase

When you first visit our showroom, one of our designers will spend some time with you discussing what you hope to achieve with your project and going over how the process will unfold. If you and the designer feel that there is the basis for a good working relationship, the designer will arrange to visit your home to get the dimensions.

Then, our designer will soon give you the floor flans, 3D presentation and a quote of the project. From the 3D presentation, you can actually see your new kitchen/bath in the nearly future. Up to this point, there is no financial obligation on your part. All in-home estimation, floor plans and 3D presentation are FREE.

3.  Plans & Specifications

This process will usually take several meetings between you and the designer.

Our philosophy at the Master Cabinet & Stone, is to "plan our work and then work our plan", so we will resist rushing into starting a project before all critical decisions are made. We have learned that nothing causes costs and time lines to spin out of control like the lack of adequate planning prior to starting a project.

The pace of this part of the adventure will be largely up to you and your schedule. At the end of that time, you and your designer will have a completed set of drawings and a complete set of specifications from which the project can be built.

4.  Contract Signing

Once all the plans and specifications are ready, we are ready to sign a contract. We have designed our contract to spell out both our responsibilities and yours, keeping it as simple as practical. The plans and specifications become an integral part of the contract.

The contract spells out payment terms, provides one year warranty.

5.  Installation

The first step in the construction process is to prepare a timeline which shows all the steps involved in completing the project and plots them onto a calendar. This allows us to coordinate our materials, subcontractors and staff in order to keep the project moving once it begins. The timeline will also help
answer many questions you may have concerning job schedule and its impact on your personal schedules.

When the big day arrives that work actually starts, our crew will spend a good part of it protecting non- impacted areas and screening off the work area to try to minimize the effect on the rest of your home. When they are satisfied that this protection is complete, the tear-out will begin.

Installation of cabinetry typically takes an average of 3-5 days depends on the size of kitchen and difficulties of the job. For an existing kitchen remodel, demolition and dumping will take the first day of installation process, assembling and installation take another 2-3 days.

6.  Completion

A project is considered to have reached the point of "substantial completion" when it is ready to be used for its intended purpose. This means that all fixtures and appliances are installed and working and our crews are no longer visiting you on a daily basis. Our designer will then sign a completion form with you. The final payment is due while the project is completed with your satisfaction.

Maintenance Guide in PDF

Once your countertops and cabinets have been installed by Master Cabinet & Stone, the upkeep is now up to you. These units often come with expensive materials and proper installation, so make sure you preserve these fixtures for the long haul. Each component comes with specific needs, but the main things to keep in mind are consistent cleaning, resealing, and knowledge of the material's limitations.

► Granite Countertop ◄

Granite Countertop Maintenance Tips :

Daily granite countertop care is as easy as cleaning with a gentle cleanser or mild dishwashing liquid. (Please avoid products contain wax, silicone, ammonia, and bleach.) If needed, you can use a synthetic scrubbing pad to clean your granite counter. With the proper maintenance, countertops stay new-looking for a long time. Here are easy steps to follow: [ Wipe up spills immediately → Use mild soap and water → Rinse → Use soft cloth to dry ]

After installing countertops, our installers will help you seal your granite countertops. Granite needs to be sealed every year or two. All you need is a clean white rag and a good quality impregnator sealer (you can find it in any hardware stores). Apply the sealer to your countertops; let the sealer absorb into the stone for approximately 3 to 4 minutes. When the sealer is almost dry, apply a little more sealer on your granite and then rub it in with a dry, clean rag. Repeat on the next section of stone until your entire countertop is sealed.

Removing Stains :

Normally, stains can be removed easily. However, if stains are hard to remove, you may try some of our suggestions:
Stain Type
Treetment
Instruction
Most Stains
1 cup flour, 1-2 T mild dishwashing soap, create
a thick paste by mixing with water
Apply to stain, cover overnight with plastic wrap; in
the morning gently scrape mixture from stain and rinse.
Oil based stains
1 cup flour, 1-2 T mild hydrogen peroxide, form
a thick paste with water
Apply to stain, cover overnight with plastic wrap; in
the morning gently scrape mixture from stain and rinse.
Coffee & tea
Combine 12 percent hydrogen peroxide with
2-3 drops of ammonia
Apply to stain.
Ink
For dark granite: Lacquer thinner or acetone.
For light granite: Hydrogen peroxide.
Apply to stain.
Wine
Make a mixture of molding plaster and bleach
until it becomes a paste
Apply to stain for 30 minutes, remove and rinse.

Warnings and Cautions :
Because granite is so durable, it's easy to think you can use anything on it. However, this is not true if you really want to keep your counters in good condition. Avoid products with ingredients that include lemon, vinegar or other acids. In fact, it's a good idea to use coasters to protect your counter under glasses containing acidic drinks like alcohol or citrus juices.

► Kitchen Cabinets ◄

Cabinets Maintenance Tips :

Since cabinetry is created for long term use they should be maintained and protected like any other piece of furniture in the house. Clean up any spills on the spot, don't place any hot materials (such as recently used pots and pans) on the cabinet surfaces, and periodically reseal them when needed. Though cabinets are built to endure, they aren't indestructible. So don't place items on the shelves that may be too heavy, and don't allow people to sit, lean, or hang on the units for too long.

Removing Stains :

•  Caring For the Interior :
1.   Simply wipe with a damp cloth or sponge, the dry immediately.
2.   To remove food residue or grease, use any common dishwashing liquid and a damp cloth to wipe clean. Dry thoroughly. If a spill occurs, clean up and dry surface immediately. Left unattended, a spill can soak through the surface and cause damage.

•  Caring for Wood Surfaces :
As a rule, wood finishes may be cleaned and protected with any commercial cleaning polish - products that contain no wax, petroleum or silicones. (Wax tends to build up on the surface. Silicone can harm the cabinet's finish.)

1.  Wipe the surfaces with a clean, damp cloth, then dry immediately.
2.  To remove general soil or grease, use any common dishwashing liquid and a damp cloth to wipe clean. Dry thoroughly.
3.  Excess moisture can damage any cabinet finish; areas near the sink, range, dishwasher oven and baseboards are most susceptible. Keep surfaces dry.
4.  Avoid draping damp cloths or dish towels over cabinet doors. Over time, this moisture could cause permanent water damage.
5.  Waxing is not necessary, but you may apply any furniture polish or lemon oil recommended for fine furniture, if desired. Be sure to wipe off excess to avoid build-up

Warnings and Cautions :

Do not use a dish cloth for cleaning. It could contain remnants of grease or detergents. Also avoid using cleansers that contain bleach, ammonia, or abrasives. These cleaners can damage your cabinet's finish.
